Who are you selling to?

An Investor will want you to illustrate or explain where your market is and how you are going to reach it. If you have a product or service, why would anybody want to buy it and how big is the audience? Having established that there is a market for your big idea, any Investor will want chapter and verse on: how you are going to engage it; what the cost of any campaigning will be; and whether or not it requires traditional media, digital media, or just plain legwork. Investors expect that getting any business off the ground, or indeed an established business to the next level, will require finely targeted and crucially affordable marketing. Your understanding of your target market is therefore essential, you must know who you are selling to.
