Business Insight 115 – Making Assumptions About Customers (blog & vlog)

INSIGHT 115:- I was told by Mick Bevan, my original ‘Alpine Training Manager’ in 1973: not everybody’s as hard up as you are – don’t assume you know what somebody wants or can afford.

Turnover: £6,938,000, profit: £759,000, net worth: well over £1 million, with over £1 million cash in the bank (not all ours, the benefit of timing differences again i.e. we gave no credit but enjoyed 70 days average credit from our suppliers, plus customers were still paying an average 25% deposits on new contracts).

I was very disappointed that we didn’t do £7 million.
